THANK YOU TO OUR HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP HEROES!!
Robenette Rosenberger lead another successful Highway Clean-Up at Silver Creek High School on Saturday, November 8th. Roben says: "Thanks to all who came out yesterday to make the Adopt-A-Highway clean up once again a HUGE success! We had awesome weather and had a crew of 19 people which included one new member, Kate Rieger and one previous-member, Julie Wilson. With the lessor turn-out of volunteers, we resorted to skipping two sections of the highway and we still collected 27 bags of trash and 2 separate piles of large debris. The highway looks amazing. So, give yourselves a BIG pat on the back because you are all true trashers!! "Thanks (to) Dennis Campbell and his homemade muffins we had an awesome breakfast. As usual we had some fun/crazy finds on the highway that we all chuckled about. Then Joe Gutmann challenged each crew to a most collected fireball liquor bottles. My crew won by one bottle. Lean Ann Poindexter and I found some coins and donated to my donation cancer piggy coin jar. Good Times!! "I want to tell you, I know I've said this before, but I just have to say it again, it is so nice to see the club come together and give back to the community as we did yesterday. It was truly a rewarding and a fun day hanging out together! "Trashers: Susie Peters, Peggy Bannon, Micheal Poindexter, Micheal Truitt, Maggie Ridge, Leah Ann Poindexter, Kate Rieger, Julie Wilson, John Hamilton, John Neichter, Joe Gutmann, Jeanne Garrison-Young, Jan Campbell, Dennis Campbell, David Richard, Clare Burkhart, Nancy Lovett, Barbara Thorn, Carole Sutton "Thanks again for all who turned out to make yesterday a huge success and I hope to see you all in the spring for the next Adopt-A-Highway clean-up!"
